Mr. Vincent Shen is the founder and President of Mentor Designgroup. He is a California licensed architect with more than thirty years international department store and large sale shopping mall experiences. He is directly responsible for planning, architectural design, interior design, merchandise planning, documentation, and construction for many long-term client relationships as well as numerous projects for leading retailers in the US and Asia.
Mr. Shen is a member of the American Institute of Aarchitects. He held a Master Degree of Architecture from University of California and a Bachelor Degree of Architecture from Taiwan Tunghai University.
Akka is the Founder and Managing Partner of GRID Partners LLC, with offices in New York and Shanghai. Taking his years of expertise in business knowledge and design experience, he provides practical insights for clients internationally, starting with understanding client’s business strategy, to develop brand strategy, manifest into retail strategy, creating innovative solutions in environment, communication, and experiential designs, for the brand to stand out in the overcrowded market, capturing the changing consumer preference. He had completed many projects successfully, from Barnes & Noble, Cartier and Tumi in America, Silhouette in Austria, Kidswant in China.
At home in New York, Akka's extensive experience in environmental, graphics and industrial design helped him create award winning projects for Borders, Freshgo, HCG, Pasqua Coffee, Samsonite, UPS, and World Duty Free that won him many First Place Awards at the VM+SD Magazine International Design Competition, and Chain Store Age magazine’s Retail Store of the Year design competition.
Akka had graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic, completed the baccalaureate program in environmental design at Parsons School of Design in New York. His post-graduate work in design was done at Pratt Institute. He is a frequent speaker in China and Asian countries to promote design industry in Asia.
Mr. Oh is the Founder and President of the Yuandian Architects & Designers in Shanghai. He has more than twenty years of planning, architectural and interior design fields. He processes more than 50 successful built projects internationally. His has over 20 projects and design reviews published or interviewed in magazines and other media. Before joining Mentor Designgroup, he was project designer in the New York office of KPFArchitects, participated in may renown large scale urban mixed-use projects.
Mr. Oh’s project includes architectural design and interior design,including Tian Mu Hu Hot Spring Resort Hotel and Villa in Liyang ,Lotte World China in Shenyang, Baltic Pearl Ltd Reception Center, St. Petersburg.
Mr. Oh held a Master Degree of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor Degree of Architecture from Taiwan Tunghai University.
Mr. Michael Tang was the founder and president of Think Tang Architecture in Shanghai. As the principal of mixed-use and retail architecture design studio, he has over 17 years of experience in award winning architecture and urban design projects across North America, Europe and Asia.
Michael’s portfolio includes major public and private projects, including Warsaw Tower in Poland, Michigan University Biochemical Building in Ann Arbor, Grand Central Terminal Extension & East Side Access in New York, the Wave of Chang Jiang in Chongqing, China, and Al Ghurair Shopping Center in Dubai.
Michael is a U.S. registered architect since 2003 and a member of AIA New York and Hong Kong Chapters. He is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S.A.
